Meredith began her nonprofit career with a position at the Roy R. Charles Charitable Trust, working alongside the Managing Director to designate mission criteria and evaluate organizations seeking significant funding. Over the past 15 years, she established strong relationships among leaders in education, libraries, and public history, serving as a trusted resource.

Because of her work with the Trust, and later Bryan & Jordan Consulting, Meredith has been asked to serve as a founding or interim director for a number of small nonprofits as well as the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond. She was Founding Director for Lewis & Clark Leadership, assisting with forming the Board of Directors, establishing a 501c3 designation, preparing by-laws and a business plan, and developing programming. With One Voice Chorus, Meredith developed a funding model based on nonprofit best practices and cultivated corporate relationships. She also formed partnerships with new venues for performances and grew attendance for the pre-concert conversation about reconciliation and unity.

Meredith served as Temporary Corporate Program Manager for the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond where she managed large-scale community volunteer events sponsored by Altria, Genworth, UPS, and CarMax. She has continued her relationship with the Community Foundation as a consultant, participating in various studies to support donor-advised funding.
