Ed Blake joined DRiWaterstone Human Capital as a Senior Consultant in August 2024, bringing his expertise in enhancing team performance, fostering loyalty, fundraising and cultivating collaborative alliances with internal and external stakeholders to DRiWaterstone clients.
An advocate for safe and affordable housing, Ed was introduced to Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity in 2001, and has been involved in the organization first as a volunteer providing real estate consulting for acquisition of land, and then on the Board of Directors; he became the Board President in 2009 and CEO in 2011. In this role, Ed expanded the building program and instituted a new program in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity International called the Critical Home Repair Program (CHiRP) which responds to the local community aspirations with an expanded array of services designed to revive declining neighborhoods. The organization experienced 5x growth during his time as CEO.
Prior to taking on the CEO role at Habitat for Humanity, Ed was the owner and founder of three real estate companies, and he spent 19 years as an Executive Vice President at Marketing Specialists, a $28 billion national company where he oversaw 400 employees in western states while achieving consumer package sales targets for many Fortune 500 companies across the country.
Outside of work, Ed is an international award winning artist and a published author.
