Ann Watters

Strategic Consultant

Ann Watters is a nonprofit strategy, research, and fundraising professional with more than a decade of experience advising mission-driven organizations, associations, and foundations. She has served as a consultant with DRiWaterstone since 2024, having previously worked for the firm from 2015 to 2019. She began her tenure as Executive Assistant to the CEO, providing high-level operational, research, and editorial support before transitioning into a client-facing development role. In that capacity, she assisted dozens of clients of varying size and mission, including the United Nations Foundation, American International Health Alliance, SHRM Foundation, and the Latin American Youth Center. Ann has extensive experience conducting stakeholder interviews, surveys, assessments, feasibility studies, prospect research, landscape analyses, environmental scans, and best practice research to deliver fundraising plans, donor engagement strategies, board and governance documents, organizational assessments, and strategic plans.

Earlier in her career, Ann served as a Government Affairs Associate at Active Policy Solutions, where she advanced federal policy objectives on behalf of nonprofit organizations and associations. Her background also includes data analysis and visualization supporting work on education, healthcare, and disability issues.

Ann currently serves as President of the Board of Children’s Cruise & Playground Society, a small New Jersey-based nonprofit. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, she now lives in Washington, D.C.
