To the task of building this industry-leading integrated health services organization, Zahid brings more than 30 years of experience, blending demonstrated success in business management with a passion for creating growth, building teams, improving measurable health outcomes and delivering social impact in areas such as oral health and emotional well-being.
A trained actuary, Zahid has held executive roles at a number of international firms while earning accreditations from Harvard Business School and the Institution of Corporate Directors. He currently serves on the board of Green Shield Canada and, sat on the Board of the Canadian Life & Health Insurance Association (CLHIA) for a number of years. Zahid has also held leadership positions on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region, the York Region Children’s Aid Society and the Saint Elizabeth Healthcare Foundation.
