Vanessa Lewerentz

Vanessa Lewerentz is Chief Inclusion Officer for BMO Financial Group and leads a team responsible for inclusion, equity & diversity. She holds enterprise-wide accountability to drive strategies, education, practices and programs across the company and grow a culture of inclusion & belonging. She is also co-sponsor of the Canadian Black Professionals Network enterprise resource group.

Vanessa has a deep passion for inclusion and diversity through personal experience and a commitment to making a difference within BMO and across our community; she is a champion for long-term strategic change.

In 2019, Vanessa rejoined BMO as Head of Executive Compensation accountable for the enterprise executive compensation program. Vanessa previously held roles in BMO in the areas of compensation, pensions and benefits, then further enhanced her human resources competency in executive compensation, strategic workforce management and people analytics while working with two other financial services organizations. Her experience in global human resources spans both financial services and the music entertainment industry .

Vanessa serves as President of the Greater Toronto Area Rewards Association and previously a Board member of Durham Mental Health Services (DMHS) for the last three years. Vanessa volunteers throughout her local community supporting mental health, youth-based programs and cancer support agencies .

Vanessa attended Wilfrid Laurier University with a concentration in Psychology and has completed the Certificate in Human Resources Management from Seneca College. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) with the Human Resources Professionals Association and is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) with World at Work and has a certificate in Human Capital Management.

Dan Turner was appointed to the President and Chief Executive Officer position at Xperigo in December 2019. Since joining the company as an executive in 2014, he has been instrumental in establishing Xperigo as a leading provider of customer experience management solutions to the automotive sector in North America.

With his people-first philosophy, Dan has placed significant emphasis on cultivating a high-performance culture at Xperigo, which has resulted in numerous benefits and accolades for the business. In 2017, Xperigo was recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures™ by Waterstone Human Capital’s Board of Governors. In 2020 and 2023, this honour was bestowed upon Xperigo again, making Xperigo a 3-time, consecutive winner of this prestigious award. In his previous role with Xperigo, Dan served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, where he effectively implemented new platforms and best practices that greatly enhanced operational performance. Under his leadership, Xperigo embraced new capabilities that allowed the business to scale exponentially, while simultaneously winning 16 best-in-class industry awards.

Prior to his COO role, Dan served as the Vice President of business development, responsible for sales and client relationships at Xperigo. He was instrumental in turning around the company’s history of declining revenue, delivering a three-fold increase to market share and growing revenues by more than 250% over 4 years. Before joining Xperigo, Dan held senior leadership positions in both sales and client services at Teleperformance Canada and The Minacs Group. In addition to managing strategic relationships with Fortune 500 companies like Apple, General Motors and Netflix, Dan successfully secured over $500 million in new business over his 12-year sales career.
