Tracy Young-McLean

With over 35 years of employee benefits, human resources and corporate governance under her belt, Tracy has a passion for people and building foundational practices to support their success. She is dedicated to empowering and mentoring employees, communicating, inspiring change, building relationships, and fostering an inclusive environment that creates trust. As the CHRO for Rise Air, and Chief Thinker for Endless Possibilities – Inventive Human Resource Strategies, Tracy brings a strategic and focused approach to governance and policy, total compensation, organizational design, diversity, employee engagement, and financial accountability.

Tracy holds an Advanced Human Resources Certificate through Queen’s University, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and Compensation Management Specialist designations through Dalhousie University and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits, and certificates in Trustee Development and Pension Plan Administration from Humber College. Tracy is the chair of the national board of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute (CPBI) and a director with the Saskatchewan SaskTel Jazz Festival board. She also volunteers for other community initiatives, some of which have included Soup Sisters, The Saskatoon Festival of Trees, and coaching volleyball and softball.

An accomplished musician, Tracy plays several instruments and sings with a contemporary Saskatoon choir. She and her husband reside on their acreage south of Saskatoon where they enjoy spending time with their many pets, family, and friends.

Cerys Cook is the Chief People Officer at Swift Medical, where she leads transformative people strategies to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, engagement, and high performance. A seasoned executive, Cerys is passionate about aligning people strategies and organizational culture with business goals to drive success. She has a proven track record of reshaping organizations through values-driven, people-focused programs. 

Since joining Swift Medical in 2020, Cerys has launched initiatives to build strategic clarity and enhance team cohesion. Her commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) is evident in programs designed to support internal mobility elevating diverse representation in leadership and promoting a culture of continuous learning. Through these and other strategic efforts, she has strengthened alignment, accountability, and engagement across the company, helping drive innovation and high performance. 

Cerys’ prior senior roles include VP of People and Culture at BlueDot, Head of People and Culture at Viva Naturals, and VP of People and Culture at The PUR Company, to name a few. She holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College, graduating with High Honours. Beyond Swift, Cerys serves as the Lead Ambassador for the Transform Toronto Chapter where she supports the advances of innovation in people strategy across the HR community.
