Kate Lister has spent her 20+ year career building great teams and learning from great leaders to help organizations build exceptional employee experiences. Starting her career in communications, she has worked in a number of diverse fields, from health care, to energy and for the last ten years, financial services. Expanding her career from communications to include culture and talent acquisition, Kate has had the opportunity to fuel her passion for creating a values-based workplace that offers employees a differentiated experience centred on great communication, trust and engagement, and inclusion and belonging. Kate’s areas of responsibility also include crisis communications, and playing an integral role on CWB’s crisis response team managing the COVID-19 pandemic has been transformational. Kate strongly believes that when organizations put people first, they can achieve great things. She values relationships, words, and community. On top of an already very busy career, Kate is a mother of three children aged 13, 11 and 7, and spends a lot of time in dance studios and at soccer fields, and in her spare time loves to travel, camp, listen to great music and read great books.
