Rebecca holds a business degree from Concordia University where she focused her studies on strategic HR management and leadership. She is also an executive coach, receiving her certification in diversity coaching from Howard University.  In her personal time, Rebecca strives to be a positive impact from volunteering in community leadership roles to holding spaces for people to reconnect to their bodies on the mat – as an avid practitioner of both yoga and BJJ.

Kristen Hogervorst is the Sr. Director, Talent, Culture & Inclusion at Loblaw Companies Limited. In her role, she leads Talent Management, Employee Listening, Culture, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion functions for one of Canada’s top employers. With her team, she influences the working experience for 220,000 employees across Canada and thousands of locations including Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws, Zehrs, No Frills, Joe Fresh and PC Financial.

Kristen has a decade of experience influencing corporate culture. She was involved in establishing Loblaw’s Culture and DEI journey, and since then has helped introduce “Blue Culture” across the organization, enabled the rollout and sustainment of a culture shaping workshop “b3” – Better Me, Better We, Better Loblaw, created and enabled several Employee Resources Groups and an executive governance model, led the strategy to improve gender and racial diversity in leadership positions, and embedded culture and inclusion into employee feedback surveys, performance development, and leadership succession planning. Kristen is recognized for her engaging and empathetic leadership style, communication expertise, strategic mindset, and for being highly collaborative with various leaders and colleagues across the organization.

Kristen has a background in Communications, starting in Loblaw’s store communication team and then broader corporate affairs and communications department. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Communication from Brock University and a post graduate certificate in Public Relations from Niagara College.
