Cheryl Fraser is Crombie's Chief Talent Officer and Vice President, Communications, joining Crombie in 2012. Prior to joining Crombie, Ms. Fraser held senior executive roles in the federal public service in the Canada Revenue Agency, Correctional Service of Canada, Treasury Board Secretariat and Fisheries and Oceans. Ms. Fraser serves as Chair of the Atlantic Economic Council Board and Chair of Dalhousie University’s Board of Governors. Previously, Cheryl served as Board Director of Wyth Financial (Concentra Bank), the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the Aberdeen Health Foundation, and the YMCA of Pictou County.
Ms. Fraser is a graduate of ICD-Rotman, Directors Education Program, graduate of the London School of Economics certificate program in Inclusive Leadership through Behavioral Science and holds a Master of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. To celebrate her exceptional career accomplishments, she received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and was named one of the Globe & Mail's Report on Business Top 50 Executives in 2021.
