Mario G. Patenaude

Mario G. Patenaude is a business and entrepreneurial talent management leader, with a history of partnering with teammates and clients, to develop and implement cross-functional strategies and programs to become an “Employer of Choice” and achieve rapid growth, high performance and superior profitability.

Has extensive leadership experience in mergers and acquisitions, revenue generation, business start-ups, and business and cultural transformation. Has successfully led the development of Human Resources functions in world-class teams of technology, business, evidence and customer-focused individuals.

Mr. Patenaude has over 40 years of experience as a senior manager and consultant in Human Resources and communications with Canadian and global organizations. He has served as the HR team leader for many high performing, “best place to work” organizations including a major global pharmaceutical company and one of Canada’s largest family-owned conglomerates.

Over the course of his career, he has held practice leadership and consulting positions in the areas of professional development, leadership and team building for several consulting firms. Mr. Patenaude holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (HR) from École des Hautes Études Commerciales de l’Université de Montréal. He has also participated in the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School.

He has served as a board member of various industry and professional organizations, as an executive member and minor hockey coach for over 25 years and as a volunteer with the YMCA.
He enjoys golf, water sports and snowshoeing; he is also an avid reader and music lover.
