Joanne Myers

Johanne McNally Myers serves as the Executive Vice President, Human Resources for High Liner Foods, a leading North American processor and marketer of value-added frozen seafood. In this role, Johanne oversees the company’s People & Culture strategy which fosters a “people-first” focus on driving high performance through strong employee engagement and development support to ultimately achieve the company’s business objectives.

Johanne brings with her over 30 years of Human Resources experience and has held senior leadership roles at Tim Hortons Inc. and the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC). 

Johanne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University, Ontario. She is an advisory board member for Helping Hands Healthcare and a volunteer at the Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital.

Eugene Hartman brings over 27 years of experience leading large retail sales teams across Canada, partnering with national retailers such as Future Shop, Best Buy, Walmart, Canadian Tire, BMO, PC Financial, Sobeys, and Scotiabank. His extensive background spans various categories, including loyalty programs, where he has consistently demonstrated his strategic and consulting prowess.

For 15 years, Eugene led operations at the store, district, and national levels for Future Shop and Best Buy. This included overall P&L accountability for large regions and overseeing operations in electronics, automotive car bay installation, delivery services, technical repairs, and photo lab operations. He successfully launched new divisions within both brands, transitioning from pilot programs to full-scale categories by building comprehensive processes and operational plans.

Eugene also spearheaded the launch of Walmart Wireless with, directly leading the Central Canada team. He partnered with all carriers to develop training programs and performance coaching that consistently exceeded sales targets. His work involved closely collaborating with store teams to establish merchandising standards, inventory management, and loss prevention needs.

Recruited to Kognitive to transform the culture and customer perception of in-store direct promotions, Eugene has built robust training programs and leadership development initiatives. He partners with clients to forge strong relationships and implement effective processes across various markets. His ability to operate successfully within a dealer model has been critical to the success of these programs, enhancing brand reputation and improving the overall client experience.
