Development Resources Inc. (DRiWaterstone) is delighted to announce the completion of the first of two searches for the Boston-based Cradles to Crayons.
DRi’s Manager for the New England region, Benny Goldman, worked with Cradles to Crayons, a unique volunteer-based organization whose anti-childhood-poverty program has helped rank it in the top 2% of non-profits nationwide. DRiWaterstone and Cradles to Crayons partnered to build a development team that would support the expansion of this program, helping to improve the lives of more than 305,000 Massachusetts children aged 12 and younger who live in poverty-stricken households.
Today we congratulate Katie Amoro for becoming Cradles to Crayons’ first Director of Major Gifts. Katie spent the last 16 years working at Rosie’s Place, where she contributed to all aspects of a diverse development program that helps provide a spectrum of services to poor and homeless women in Boston. Katie closed five-figure gifts and grants, worked on capital campaigns, ran special events generating revenue of more than $820K, and led a team of fundraising volunteers to advance this critical social welfare mission.
DRiWaterstone is continuing to add to Katie’s team with our ongoing search for a Major Gifts Manager at Cradles to Crayons; more information is available here.
We etend our enthusiastic congratulations to Katie and Cradles to Crayons. We look forward to their continued growth together.
